Camp Parents Information

Sleeping Quarters

Adults have their own sleeping quarters where you share a room with other adults. Student are not allowed in these spaces to allow you some quiet downtime. 

There are rooms dedicated to females only and males only. 

Wifi coverage for parents

Wifi  is available however may be limited for some providers. 

Bathroom Facilities

There are bathrooms where you can shower and toilet privately away from the students. 

Food 

Your support to prepare the food for each meal time is appreciated. If you have special dietary requirements we can cater for those.

You are able to access additional food throughout the day if you need to curb your appetite.

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are always available. If you have a particular brand you prefer, it is best you bring your own supply.

Support Expectations

• supporting ALL students in your assigned group

• supporting instructors in group activities

• preparing and cooking meals

• camp duties e.g. fire supervision, dishes and clean-up supervision, student free-time supervision.

Teachers are assigned to base camp and to roam around activities and support where needed.

There are instructors and health and safety cards prepared for each activity to guide you all through the activities. Camp instructors will lead higher risk activities.

Wifi service is currently limited so we are working on how we can increase this access to parents.

There is an emergency phone at the Lodge and Teachers have access to Wifi for Health and Safety reasons only.
