Sleeping Quarters
Adults have their own sleeping quarters where you share a room with other adults. STudent are not allowed in these spaces to allow you some quiet downtime.
There are rooms dedicated to females only and males only. have a room and fathers have There are additional sleeping options including the hall which has a large number of bunk beds. Alternatively, some parents bought their own accomodation and slept in vans or tents
Bathroom Facilities
There are 4 'ensuite' type bathrooms where you can shower and toilet privately. Water is heated by gas so there is plenty to go around!
Food
Your support to prepare the food for each meal time is appreicated. If you have special dietary requirements we can cater for those.
You are able to access additional food throughout the day if you need to curb your appetite.
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are always available. If you have a particular brand you prefer, it is best you bring your own supply.
Support Expectations
Usually, 3 parents are assigned to support one group of 6-10 students.
Teachers are assigned to base camp and to roam around activities and support where needed.
There are health and safety cards prepared for each activity to guide you all through the activities as well as additional staff for the higher risk activities.
If you are not confident supporting at any particular activity, please let your lead teacher know at the beginning of the camp so we can provide wrap around support.
Wifi service is currently limited so we are working on how we can increase this access to parents.
There is an emergency phone at the Lodge and Teachers have access to Wifi for Health and Safety reasons only.
